FIRESIDE CHAT panel discussion
Location: Lago Linda Hideaway
Topic: Mentors on Mentors - Historically, climbing is a mentorship sport, something that bolsters its strong community foundation but has also gatekept those who didn’t see themselves within that community. In the last decade, we’ve witnessed a rise in community leaders who are trans, queer, women, BIPoC, adaptive, and who fiercely believe everyone has a right to be in this space. What does being a leader mean? What thoughts go into creating spaces that promote growth and vulnerability? And what is the importance of this role in community spaces?
